Sales Director
This is an opportunity to join a growing, winning team that is changing the way organizations get their business intelligence and market research.
This position requires selling to a list of mid-market and fortune 500 accounts while having the responsibility of managing a small team of Business Development Executives. The Sales Manager/Director will focus the team on winning new client business from a healthcare vertical within a territory and is ultimately responsible for the team's territory revenue.
Successful candidates for this position will possess superior communication and sales skills that can be applied to both the sales process and internal communications. Ideal candidates will possess the skills to lead, coach, and motivate Business Development Executives to become high performance sellers through the application of sales processes, training and mentorship. This role will also be responsible for guiding the personal and professional development of Business Development Executives, while enabling them to achieve their revenue targets and career growth objectives at GlobalData.
In order to succeed, the candidate will need to apply a combination of sales, management and strategic skills to quickly build and maintain relationships vertically across our potential clients (mainly from life sciences industry) while earning the trust and respect of internal team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8 years of inside sales/business development sales experience with at least 5 years of managing experience
- Experience in managing a KPI driven sales team with a yearly target of at least $1MM in revenue
- Business intelligence or market research experience is a plus
- Experience in selling to clients from life sciences industries is highly desirable
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue quota goals both personal and team
- Experience dealing with C level and key decision makers
- Proven track record of managing a successful sales team
- "Can do" attitude and demonstrated ability to win
- Track record of developing and closing new business and meeting sales objectives
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- Great organizational and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and facilitation skills
- Track record in pitching, negotiating, and closing long-term, seven figure deals
- Track record of meet challenging sales objectives in a high profile, competitive marketplace
- Ability to manage a high level of detail across multiple projects and to prioritize efficiently
- Experience in identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and negotiating creative solutions
