Summary
The Sales Operations Manager (SOM) manages support functions essential to sales force productivity. These include planning, reporting, management, sales process optimization, sales training, sales program implementation. SOM will report to VP of Sales.

Major Areas of Responsibility
  • Coordinates sales and new business acquisition forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization.
  • Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization's planning efforts. As needed, coordinates planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the organization including across business units and the corporate team.
  • Works to ensure all sales organization objectives are assigned in a timely fashion.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement. Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization such as New Business reporting, Booked Business, etc.
  • Leverages monitoring of trends and fluctuations to coordinate with sales management for corrective actions.
  • Recommends revisions to existing reports or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
  • Implements enabling technologies, including CRM (SFDC, Tableau, etc.), to sales teams. Monitors the assigned sales organization's compliance with required standards for maintaining CRM data. Works closely with sales management to optimize the effectiveness of the company's technology investments
  • Coordinates training delivery to sales, sales management, and sales support personnel in the sales organization supported.
  • Builds peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.
  • Responsible for all systems, processes, training, and best commercial practices as well as driving continuous improvement for SMBU Sales globally including:
    • Salesforce.com
    • Driving New Business Tracking Meetings and defining action plans
    • Monthly Forecasting (SOP), Annual Plan and Strategic Plan
    • Support for Budgeting Sales and New Business Activity
    • Quoting and pricing
    • Management reporting - Booked Business, New Business Tracking/Reporting
    • Market Outlook Monitoring
    • CTS Website Support
    • Global/regional sales meeting planning
    • Quarterly Close reporting and information to Corporate Finance
    • Quarterly earnings call SBU summary to CEO and CFO
    • All sales training and associated processes including:
    • CTS Sales Process
    • Multi-level Product Training
    • Functional Sales Training
    • Operates by influence across entire SMBU global sales community

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
