Job Overview:

The Sales & Use Tax Compliance Analyst position requires a commitment to meet state-imposed deadlines which may at times require over-time. Must be able to clearly communicate key tax terms and concepts in a way people outside the tax department can understand.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepare indirect tax compliance including sales and use, excise, business, and other regulatory returns
  • Prepare sales & use tax data and supporting workpapers
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team dynamic environment
  • Continue development of indirect tax procedures in conjunction with the indirect tax team.
  • Ability to apply emerging data analytic tools to existing processes to improve performance (i.e.-use of BOTS, workflows & other technology)
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned


Qualifications:
Qualifications :

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Data Analytics or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in accounting/tax role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Experience filing Sales & Use Tax returns for multiple states
  • Experience using Vertex O or Q or similar tax software
  • Experience with Vertex Returns or similar tax software
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of Vertex ECM or similar exemption certificate software
  • Experience working with large volumes of data including the use of pivot tables and Vlookups

Pay Range: 66,450 - 97,460
