Sanctions Screening Program Enhancement Lead Responsibilities


  • Apply sanctions regulatory and screening program knowledge to the execution of strategic projects that enhances screening program controls.

  • Support strategic projects for the Sanctions Program tower end-to-end and ensure timely and quality delivery of control enhancements.

  • Collaborate with product teams in understanding and evaluating a product's sanctions risk profile and design corresponding controls.

  • Provide updates to stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.

  • Work with cross-functional partners to resolve issues in the screening program.

  • Utilize market practice and standards in executing projects and apply "big picture" strategic thinking and regulatory knowledge to screening control evaluation and scoping out enhancements.

  • Understand a wide spectrum of financial and non-financial products and platforms to make logical and risk-based recommendations for screening control enhancements, and proactively identify areas for improvement.

  • Monitor trends and patterns across product, regulatory environment, and screening landscape to identify potential risk and take appropriate action to mitigate such risks.

  • Help managing ad hoc initiatives for the Sanctions Program tower.

  • Create project plans and implement the controls through working with cross-functional teams including but not limited to Product, Engineering, Privacy, Integrity, and Legal.

  • Properly document all artifacts for audit trail.

  • Follow and implement regulatory affairs policies and procedures to ensure that regulatory compliance is maintained or enhanced.

  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulations.

  • Support regulatory strategies and implementation plans for the preparation and submission of new products.

  • Communicate regulatory information to multiple departments and ensure that information is interpreted correctly.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Master's degree in Business, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or a related field and 12 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Foreign equivalent accepted. Requires 12 months of experience in the following:

  • Business analytics and visualization

  • AML/Sanctions compliance function including sanctions-focused

  • Sanctions regulation

  • Fuzzy logic screening technologies

  • Communicating with engineering teams from a technical perspective

  • Compliance function overall or other internal control functions

  • Tableau

  • ASANA

  • Sanction list screening and geoblocking

  • Data analysis and visualization for generating reporting dashboard

  • Data quality framework with automation test capabilities and defined test strategy.
