The Sanitation Associate will maintain sanitation in production, ware wash, cafeteria, and dining areas. May receive and stock supplies in all areas of the department as needed. Will provide courteous customer service to customers while working.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
1 year At least 6 months of experience. (Required)

Required Skills/Knowledge
Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. Frequent lifting of 25 lbs.
Ability to read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to accurately measure chemicals.
Demonstrate knowledge of safety procedures and practices

Functional Accountabilities
Housekeeping
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, customer service areas, and dining room; in addition clean kitchen floors.
  • Restock the service area as needed with minimum supervision with trays and other items as requested.
  • Operate and maintain sanitation of dishwashing machine and conveyer belt; wash, sanitize and store all department cooking (pot and pans), and serving equipment and patient service ware (china); report any malfunctioning equipment to immediate supervisor.
  • Follow directions for proper use of all cleaning supplies to ensure maximum efficiency from product.
  • Remove trash and clean garbage receptacles.
  • Clean, sweep, mop debris off floors, shelving and walls; power wash carts on a daily basis
Sanitation and Safety
  • Maintain department, hospital and regulatory agency standards.
  • Clean work area according to department guidelines.
  • Complete special cleaning assignment within target time.
  • Restock food and supplies neatly and safely according to department guidelines; follow established food-handling practices according to department guidelines.
  • Use chemicals appropriately , store chemicals in the appropriate manner .
Communication
  • Complete and document quality and safety controls indicator including temperature, Ph reading and dilutions.
  • Communicate to management unresolved customer service issues within 24 hours.
  • Communicate to management all quality and availability issues, equipment status, customer and staffing issues.
Professionalism
  • Maintain a professional image by adhering to department uniform guidelines.
  • Comply with established work flow of position.
  • Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures.
