The SBA Business Development Officer in the Government Guaranteed Lending Department is tasked with identifying and developing loan opportunities within the SBA 7(A), 504, and USDA B&I loan programs. This role ensures that all transactions adhere to the Banks and relevant Agencies lending policies and procedures. Additionally, the officer fosters business growth for the Bank by maintaining strong customer relationships and directing clients to the appropriate staff for other banking services. The SBA Business Development Officer also plays a key role in achieving personal and departmental production targets through active participation in officer calling programs, while providing mentorship and support to junior loan officers and other team members.

Salary: $120,000 - $130,000

Required Skills & Experience
- Must be a resident of Dallas, TX.
- Requires a Bachelors degree (BA) or equivalent from an accredited institution, with 3 years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Must have a proven lending pipeline of at least $12 million annually.
- Needs advanced expertise in analyzing financial statements and tax returns, typically gained through education in accounting, financial analysis, or related fields.
- Preferably experienced in SBA credit or underwriting.
- Should have advanced knowledge and training in Government Guaranteed Lending.
- Requires comprehensive knowledge of all lending activities and terminology.
- Must be well-versed in state and federal lending and compliance regulations, as well as other Bank lending policies.
- Proven ability to develop marketing and business development skills with clients.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
- Intermediate skills in operating computer terminals, personal computers, mainframe systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and specialized software.
- Intermediate typing skills to meet the positions production needs.
- Advanced math skills, including the ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; perform basic arithmetic operations; identify routine mathematical errors; and draft and interpret bar graphs.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions, train personnel, write reports and procedures, and communicate clearly with customers and employees.
- Ability to handle complex problems involving multiple variables in non-standardized situations.
- Capable of working independently without supervision.
- Must have a current California drivers license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required for job duties.
