General Statement of Duties
To provide technical assistance at an advanced level to all school system employees at all levels. This position also oversees Agency/School system oracle financial access, user accounts and responsibilities.
Must have diversified knowledge of daily business school procedures, in the areas of finance, payroll and human resources. Ability to teach and communicate to all school system employees at all levels. Serves as a resource on all financial tasks. Must have working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and file formats
Essential Duties
• Assists with analyzing position control complement requests for accuracy and completeness;
• Assists with establishing and monitoring position control procedures;
• Performs continuous audits of data to verify HRMS entry;
• Assists HCPS departments and staff in interpreting and applying current HRMS system procedures;
• Serves as help-desk resource, responding to user questions on financial problems;
• Train staff with report generation for all departments of the school system with regard to oracle financials;
• Assist in the technical production of the annual operating budget
• Advises departments on established budgetary policies, guidelines and procedures;
• Oversees and assists with input, if needed with budget requests for schools and departments;
• Receives and reviews budget requests from departments, including, if any, all supporting information and documentation for justification of budget requests;
• Provides technical support to principals, directors, specialists, supervisors and administrators for the budget program;
• Oversees, supports and troubleshoot all departments with their budget questions
• Prepares budget documents from planning to approval
• Work with team members to promote a positive work environment;
• Attends work daily and be engaged on task;
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of school operations preferred. Must have excellent computer skills in Windows platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, FileMaker Pro.
Possession of a bachelor' s degree in information systems/technology, math, business or a related field and three (3) years of work experience directly related to the position to which assigned OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Additional Information
This is a full time position, 260 days (12 months) for the Budget Department. Minimum salary is $52,486.32 or based on promotion policy for internal candidates. Salary will be prorated based on start date.
