WE Transport is immediately hiring school bus drivers in Nassau County of Long Island. Having a CDL is a plus in our hiring process, but FREE CDL training is available.

  Split-Shift- Mornings and Afternoons!

  Guaranteed 25-30 hours per week.

  FREE Training to prepare for CDL Permit.

  $750 bonus when you train with us and receive your CDL.
  \n
\n
• \n
  $2,500 Sign-on-Bonus for any hired fully licensed NY CDL Driver who has an A, B or C license with P & S endorsements.

  Starting salary up to $24.50/hr for Van & up to $28.50/hr for Bus.

Job Summary
\n

\n
• \n
  Operate school bus to transport authorized passengers to and from school programs in a safe and timely manner following prescribed route(s).
  \n
\n
• \n
  Assess traffic and road conditions, monitor student behavior and other factors as necessary.
  \n
\n
• \n
  Follow all state and federal traffic laws while operating a vehicle. Adhere to DOT and state safety and district requirements and standards while operating yellow school bus.
  \n
\n
• \n
  Maintain proper CDL and state school bus certifications including adhering to state and federal guidelines regarding criminal, medical, drug test and driving records.
  \n
\n
• \n
  Assist passengers onto and off the vehicle when necessary.
  \n
\n
• \n
  Perform daily pre and post trip vehicle inspections and safety checks as required by company standards and state guidelines.
  \n

Job Requirements

  Drivers must be at least 21 with 1 year driving experience
  \n
\n
• \n
  NYS CDL Class A or B License with P & S endorsements for Bus
  \n
\n
• \n
  NYS CDL C License with P & S for vans
  \n
\n
• \n
  Must have a driver's license to enter CDL permit training (we train you for free!)
  \n
\n
• \n
  Ability to pass drug test and background check
  \n
\n
