We are seeking an experienced, full-time School Social Worker to support a campus for the 2023-2024 school year. This individual must have a proven track record of working with families and community agencies in alleviating adverse conditions in order to promote academic success for all students. This individual will conduct screenings and assessments and provide individual and group counseling. This individual will also help develop positive relationships with school staff, students and their families and contribute significantly in building a learning team. They will also function as a member of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team to determine student's eligibility for special services, appropriate programming, and on-going progress.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as a liaison between the school and the family.

• Confer with school personnel to bring information relating to the home which may be helpful in working with a student.

• Assist school personnel in matters related to school attendance.

• Provide an effective working relationship with students, parents, school personnel, and others concerned with student welfare.

• Assist others in assessing the needs of students.

• Serve as a participant on the school's Child Study Committee, Eligibility Committee, and Crisis

Intervention Team to assist in meeting the student's individual needs.

• Assist in the process of referring students and families to appropriate community resources.

• Consult with school personnel, parents, and other appropriate individuals to help increase the understanding of students and to help provide an atmosphere conducive to the student's growth and development.

• Maintain appropriate case records and documentation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from an accredited college with a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field. Case management experience preferred.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Pupil Personnel Credential under social work program

• Valid California driver license.
