Position Summary:

Provides professional and technical skills and knowledge to ensure accurate and timely performance of clinical laboratory tests and reporting of results to responsible party. Performs other duties as requested. Reports to the Lab Manager and Director of Laboratory Services.

Salary Range:

Hourly Rate Minimum $42.93 Midpoint $53.08 Maximum $66.52

Required Qualifications:

Possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to provide accurate, timely testing of clinical specimens, preferably in multiple laboratory disciplines. Good clinical judgment and problem solving abilities. Possesses skills in leadership. Good communication skills in English

Bachelor's degree in biological sciences preferred. One year internship in California approved program or equivalent. Prefer 2 years of previous clinical laboratory experience, preferably in a hospital setting.

Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Specialty License

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
