SDET - Test Automation Engineer (Java/Cucumber)

A large financial services institution is in the process of creating a next generation trading platform. This team consists of over 150 individuals who have recently launched this platform into production. The team is operating within a highly agile environment, consisting of squads and tribes across six key tracks. We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer/Developer to join the Order Management System track. This individual will be joining a squad of resources that is responsible for all working on order management and transfer of assets. The candidate that we are looking for needs to have recent experience building frameworks for API testing. He or she must have experience building out the automation framework from scratch in order to be able to troubleshoot and maintain the current framework that has been built. He or she should have experience adding test cases to the Karate framework. He or she MUST be excited to learn how to use the Karate framework. This individual will also be using core Java in order to build out frameworks within Karate. This role will also require basic level SQL experience for back end database validation. He or she will be using SQL to write basic queries and joins. The ideal candidate will come from a software development background. Lastly, we are looking for an individual who is confident and will feel comfortable speaking up in meetings and giving his/her opinion.

This role requires candidates who can be on site 1 week per month in any of the following states: MA, RI, NH, TX, NC, NY, NJ, UT, KY

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of using core JAVA to build automation frameworks for API testing (Rest Assured, Karate, etc)
- 3+ years of experience writing Java code and understanding Java Design Principles
- Experience using CI tools including Maven, Jenkins, Git, etc.
- Ability to write SQL queries and perform SQL joins

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience testing within an AWS environment
