U.S. Data Security ("USDS") is a standalone department of TikTok in the U.S. This new security-first division was created to bring heightened focus and governance to our data protection policies and content assurance protocols to keep U.S. users safe. Our focus is on providing oversight and protection of the TikTok platform and user data in the U.S., so millions of Americans can continue turning to TikTok to learn something new, earn a living, express themselves creatively, or be entertained. About the Team
Our TikTok Search Operation team plays a key role in improving TikTok users' search experience by investigating user feedback, evaluating search results, analyzing data, etc.

Responsibilities:
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap to re-imagine our search and discovery experience for customers while directing day-to-day execution towards that vision.
- Hire and develop a high performing team responsible for the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to implementation.
- Regularly review metrics and proactively seek out new and improved mechanisms for visibility on performance and greater optimization of the Search product portfolio.
- Collaborate and drive alignment with a variety of stakeholders, including senior executives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in product operations, with ideally 2+ years of Search product related experience or at minimum mobile product experience
-3+ years of experience directly managing teams
- Analytical thinker who works well in a global, fast-paced, data-driven, cross-functional, and highly ambiguous entrepreneurial culture.
- Sound business judgment and proven ability to effectively communicate and influence others, including executive level reviews.
- Ability to think strategically and at the same time stay on top of tactical execution.

Preferred
- e-Commerce experience
- Experience in launching and scaling consumer-facing products
- Experience working with multiple teams across different geographies
