Description

• Supervise and maintain adequate staffing and inventory levels to support activities and cleaning schedules in an economical manner.

• Coordinate, comprehend and perform all phases of building cleaning in accordance with the Building Service Work Guide.

• Coordinate and complete safety inspections and preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation and other building related equipment.

• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment assigned to the building including greasing/oiling changing filters, etc.

• Snow removal as required to maintain a safe environment for all building occupants.

• Provide verbal or written reports on sub-standard employee performance and equipment issues.

• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to give, interpret, and follow oral and written directions effectively
• Ability to work with others
• Ability to operate all equipment related to position
• Ability to set schedules for assigned staff
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to work in cramped dirty, uncomfortable positions
• Ability to complete operational forms and work records accurately and on time
• Ability to perform all duties in compliance with all applicable safety and health codes
• Ability to operate and navigate computers with Microsoft windows operating systems along with MS Office, Gmail, Requestline/sitenet, BMS and Internet Explorer
• Ability to work with little or no supervision
• Must manage time effectively
• Must have excellent attendance
• Must have no current disciplinary actions with ER

Qualifications

Basic Supervisory Course
Speak and read English
Valid WI Drivers FOE2 ASOPE and City of Racine Stationary Engineer License.
1 year school engineer or building operation experience (head or shift).
Ability to display necessary initiative and dependability to work alone or in groups. Must be able to schedule work effectively.
Good physical conditions, ability to lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis and 75 pounds periodically, push and pull on repetitive basis, work in adverse weather conditions
Years of experience, documented practical work experience and successful completion of the interview process will be basis of position award. If all qualifications are not met, the school district may assist the most qualified applicant with developing a plan for achieving them.
