Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a Principal System Administrator to join one of their top federal clients on a large defensive weaponry program. This individual will be joining the Information Services team and will be supporting the Mission of Strategic Deterrence through continuous improvements and innovation. Some of your responsibilities would include:

* Maintenance and support services to u of various systems, with duties to include building and maintaining GPOs and other tasks related to AD

* Responsible for maintenance of ACAS and ePO servers

* Administration of Exchange Servers

* Assist in performing root cause analysis and resolving faults and errors in systems

* Assist in developing recommendations for enhancing approaches for software support services

* Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures

* Update work instruction documents and standard operating procedures

* Collaborate with vendors in the research, development, and implementation of various technologies

* Troubleshoot and resolve daily support tickets including end-user support via phone, email, and remote control

Ensure assigned operating systems and applications are compliant with all applicable Department of Defense (DoD) directives and guidelines, including Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) bulletins

Required Skills & Experience

Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance

Bachelor's Degree in one of the following

12+ years of experience in Systems Administration (Masters Degree accounts for 2 years of experience)
- Skilled in the deployment, oversight, and maintenance of at least one system such as:
- ACAS, ePO, Microsoft Active Directory, HBSS, Microsoft Exchange
- Experience at contributing to the upkeep, supervision, and issue resolution of:
- Windows and RHEL platforms
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) setups
- Versed in aiding the control of diverse IT infrastructures, both internal and external, including:
- Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and more
- Windows Server versions: 2016, 2019
- Virtualization Solutions: VMware vSphere, VDI, AWS Desktops
- Experience resolving faults and errors in applications

Experience with DISA STIG checklists to assess and document compliance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

MS Degree in Technical Field

Active Top Secret Clearance

AWS Cloud Certification, Microsoft Certification

Hands on experience with AWS supporting large scale deployments as an administrator

Experience with migrating and/or extending on premises software to the cloud

Use of scripting to automate administrative tasks using PowerShell or AWS Console

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Experience with AWS Cloud Platform (IaaS)
