Secret Virtualization Engineer

-Maintain current VMWare environment, two enclaves, each with a Production and Development section.
- Tasks would include: patching, application of STIGs, permissions and security configurations (think CAC login), weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual health checks
- Other tasks include: monthly reporting on VM usage (goes to government), customer utilization, quarterly inventory reports of all hosts and VMs
- General responsibilities: Answering trouble tickets from customers, requests from leadership/management on metrics for VMs, creation of new environments based on projects and customer requests, documentation of processes, backups (done with Hycu), manage licenses alert leadership/management on upcoming expirations (1 year out, six months, then closer), dealing with hardware or software issues

Required Skills & Experience
- Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years IT experience
- Security+CE
- VMWare experience (both administration of hosts, VCenter and VMs and engineering of the same)
- Windows or Linux Server experience
- Scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Python etc (both creating and editing scripts)
- Active Directory and GPO experience
- Familiarity with DoD IA/Cybersecurity processes (STIG, scans, audits, patching, etc.)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- VMWare certification
- Experience doing administration or engineering with Nutanix/AHV/Acropolis
- Jira experience
- DevSecOps experience
- Automation (scripting, Ansible Automation Platform/Ansible Tower)
- Other Microsoft skills (DNS, DHCP, Software Center/MECM/SCCM, etc.) or Linux experience
