SECTION SUPERVISOR (EXEMPT POSITION) - MAINTENANCE AND SHOPS DEPARTMENT

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Supervises assigned employees in the following disciplines: carpenters, electricians and refrigeration technicians. Responsible for preparing and submitting estimates, planning and scheduling resources to support mission requirements. Supervises mission support as required for tasks requested through PCMS MEP Work Requests or Project Work Assignments (PWA). Initiates or reviews and approves Purchase Requests generated in support of assigned work. Tracks and continually monitors actual work accomplished daily and adjusts work assignments as required to accommodate changing customer priorities and mission support requirements. Coordinates work assignments with customers and other SOUTHWEST RANGE SERVICES Departments located throughout White Sands Missile Range to ensure work is completed within required schedules and budgets. Responsible for assuring facility and workforce compliance with safety, security, and environmental laws, regulations, and company policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must be a graduate of a two-year technical institute with a minimum of three years applicable experience or a total of six years progressive applicable experience in the specific field. In either case, a minimum of two years of the experience must have been in a supervisory role. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Must possess a valid driver's license. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Working knowledge of DoD contract operations and support requirements as well as required reports and administrative functions to include purchasing, supply, timekeeping, etc
