Security Analyst Investigator Responsibilities


  • Coordinate development and implementation of Intel cycle across a range of internal stakeholders to identify online threats.

  • Illuminate threats within an ecosystem, across problems, clearly explaining emerging trends with an emphasis on geo-political, cultural or societal specific differences.

  • Inform effective strategies to prevent or disrupt abuse at scale and consult on mitigations to effect those strategies.

  • Proactively hunt for currently undetected abuse by leveraging internal data, open-source intelligence and third party private intelligence.

  • Investigate complex cases to understand attribution and identify enforcement strategies.

  • Inform the company's understanding of previously unidentified threat types through the production of strategic and tactical intelligence, and its dissemination to the appropriate audiences.

  • Address sensitive content issues, including but not limited to graphic images, videos and writings, offensive or derogatory language, and other objectionable material.

  • One of the key objectives is operationalizing work and ensuring sustainability of the process as team scales and branches out.

  • Use market specific knowledge, signals and insights to identify and scope scalable solutions to improve the experience of our community.

  • Build out and improve processes for newer markets in high-risks countries.

  • Gather and analyze relevant data by interpreting reports, dashboards and presentations.

  • Identify and lead end-to-end operational improvement opportunities and ensure on-time delivery of critical initiatives.

  • Collaborating cross-functionality with various teams through risk assessment and quality assurance to drive projects to success.


Minimum Qualifications


  • 48 months of experience is required for the position. Requires 48 months of experience involving the following:

  • 1. Working in government intelligence, international geo-political, cybersecurity, or human rights functions

  • 2. Contributing to tactical and strategic finished intelligence on geopolitical, cyber, or violent actor behaviors and activities

  • 3. Investigating and acting on high-impact threats and online threat actors

  • 4. Data analysis tools and techniques

  • 5. Experience investigating and acting on high-impact threats and online threat actors

  • 6. Ability to think critically and qualify assessments with solid communications skills

  • 7. Proven track record of managing and executing on short term and long term projects

  • 8. Ability to prioritize tasks, projects, and investigative needs and execute with minimal direction or oversight.
