The Security team at SAIC is looking for a long-term Security Intern opportunity within our Infrastructure Enablement (IE) group.

SAIC, a leading Fortune 500 company, is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Security Intern focused on Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). This internship opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment, working alongside experienced professionals in the field of CUI. This position will allow you to work in conjunction with teammates from multiple organizations across the SAIC enterprise who are responsible for the day-to-day execution of continuous administration, monitoring, and compliance of CUI programs, systems, and contractual services in accordance with customer-defined frameworks (e.g. E.O. 13556, DFARS, NIST 800-171, DoDI 5200.48, and 32 CFR).

This position can be worked 100% remotely across the US.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Assist the Corporate CUI Sr. Manager in the implementation, evolution, and maintenance of the SAIC CUI Program.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure CUI compliance and data integrity.
  • Participate in CUI-related briefings, training sessions, projects, and initiatives.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in CUI compliance.
  • Learn and assist in processes pertaining to CUI Manager appointments, Roles and Responsibilities within the Corporate CUI SPP, Program Protection Profiles, Risk Mitigations, Incident Response, and Corrective Action Plans.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma and three (3) or more years of completed college coursework.
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required.
  • Candidate has recently graduated or is pursuing a degree in an area of interest listed above, or other relevant degree path.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Trustworthy, self-motivated and a quick learner.
  • Ability to commit to consistency, availability, and reliability.
  • Ability to multitask.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with Office Products (e.g. Word, Excel, PDF, Outlook, MS Teams etc.).
  • A strong desire and willingness to learn more about the data behind many different business functions and how that data supports the CUI Program.
  • Friendly, positive disposition, and customer service-oriented mentality.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving
  • Comfortable with public speaking and willing to develop presentation skills
