Security Officer; works with minimal supervision. It is the responsibility of the Security officer to secure the premises and personnel by patrolling the property; monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment and access points. Prevent losses and damages by observing, detecting and reporting irregularities. Communicates and works closely with all other departments in the coordination of departmental activities and requests. Hourly rate is $20.00 per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education: High School Diploma, Associates degree in Criminal Justice or Computers preferred.
2. Experience: Previous experience in law enforcement, Firefighter or Security Officer in a Health Care Facility preferred.
3. Training/Certification: CPR/First Aid preferred
4. Licensure: NY State Driver's License preferred, NY State Security Officer's License required
5. Other: Must be able to cover weekend shifts. Must have demonstrated strong leadership qualities. Good work history! Ability to relate well to all types of people and act in a positive and supportive manner. Reacts in a flexible manner under unusual circumstances, which may alter normal routines. Demonstrates good judgement and common sense.
