We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Security Operations National Manager to join our team and help protect the heart of our operations.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and optimizing our facility security platform, which includes cutting-edge video surveillance, access control, and security management systems. You’ll oversee work orders, evaluate security requests, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs with contractors to ensure our facilities remain secure and operational.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruits, hires, supervises, trains, develops and evaluates performance of assigned personnel. Identifies and effectively resolves personnel issues.
  • Manage and maintain the security management system platform, including camera and access configurations, user access and system settings (i.e. door schedules, guest management alarm system, intercom, floor plans). Including performing regular checks to ensure the system is running at optimal performance.
  • Create, modify, and delete user accounts and permissions according to organizational requirements.
  • Provide training and support to users on how to navigate and utilize the security management system platform effectively.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and events generated by the security management system. Collaborate with contracted security teams to respond to incidents and ensure timely resolution.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Verkada Command, including camera connectivity and video playback problems.
  • Work with the security management system and system integrators on implementation of the platform at new or relocated locations.
  • Maintain and oversee vendor relationships with security management vendor, equipment providers and system integrators.
  • Work with IT to maintain the security management system network infrastructure for implementations and long-term network conductivity.
  • Work with Facilities Maintenance team to maintain door hardware, including managing parts stock.
  • Evaluate new applications within the Verkada Command platform
  • Effectively communicate with organizational stakeholders (i.e. Facilities Management, IT and end users).
  • Assists on new projects in both existing areas and new construction helping with security assessments, vendor selection, technology upgrades, product selections, testing, field verification of systems and inspection of work in progress for compliance with standards.
  • Attend project meetings pertaining to security integration. Attends regular staff meetings of the Facilities Management Services staff and participates in problem solving and discussions of system and project related issues.
  • Make recommendations for security equipment and systems.
  • Develops budgets for project work and provides project coordination ensuring budgets are met. Obtains quotes for repair and/or installation of systems enterprise wide. Defines options and estimates costs, sets priorities and schedules for construction activities.
  • Knows and understands all safety procedures of the organization.
  • Collaborate with Real Estate and Facilities on new and existing office designs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and Vitalant physical security standards.
  • Develop tools and execute processes to conduct ongoing physical security risk assessments across our facilities and operations. Develop and execute mitigation strategies for identified risks and vulnerabilities, using a risk-based approach.


Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge/ Education

Bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Intermediate to expert knowledge of physical security systems Access Control, Intrusion) and other security-related systems.

Sound knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, state, and municipal legislation and security regulations.

Licenses/ Certifications

1. Industry Certification such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or other relevant certifications are preferred.

Experience

Five years of progressive responsible experience in physical security management required. To include:

• Two years of supervisory experience.

Security systems to include, service and maintenance across a broad spectrum of access control, intrusion, and video surveillance systems required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools is required.

Verkada Command experience preferred.
