Position Overview
The Security Orchestration Engineer is responsible for managing and automating information security processes, including user provisioning, security testing, and defensive capabilities. The engineer will develop and maintain user provisioning, automated security testing processes, and build out SOAR capabilities to streamline incident response. The position will work with fellow team members as well as develop plans to respond to threats and security alerts. Designing/implementing procedures and processes for the security team to follow. This role reports directly to the Manager of Security Orchestration

Essential Job Functions
Lead the implementation and deployment of user access management for the organization, ensuring interoperability with existing security tools and infrastructure.
Streamline alerting capabilities to increase IR efficiency and decrease response times
Assist in purple team and detection operations
Implement monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track the effectiveness of the various datasets and automations across the organization.
Drive security initiatives to align with organizational goals
Assist in the development of incident response procedures and work closely with the rest of the security to respond to security alerts
Participate in purple team exercises and work to tune security controls to increase detection capabilities

Requirements
Must have 3 years of experience in Information Technology and Information Security
Strong experience in computing and an understanding of networking, infrastructure, and automation technologies.
Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and other security technologies.
Knowledge of build pipelines and CI tools.
Strong background in assessing and responding to security events
Relevant security certificationsSuch as: GSEC, GMON, GCIH, Sec+, etc

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across infrastructure teams.
