The mission of Amazon Global Security Operations is to mitigate security and operational risks to our associates, data, and physical assets. Amazon is looking for a detail-oriented individual to provide crisis management triage, coordination, and facilitation, security risk monitoring, analysis and alarm monitoring at Amazon's Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) in Goodyear, AZ. The GSOC provides: global, regional, localized crisis management coordination and facilitation, global, and regional security risk monitoring and expertise, assistance with alarm monitoring services for Amazon's locations, coordinates and facilitates the crisis management response to significant Workplace Incident Management events (workplace violence; WIM), troubleshoots issues with the alarm access control system, and issues credentials to critical data locations, among other daily services and projects.

The Security Risk Analyst will provide: crisis management coordination and facilitation, and security risk monitoring, analyses, and directly monitor alarms. Responsibilities will include managing email and phone communications, and security risk monitoring and reporting, researching alarm system issues, generating and/or managing trouble tickets, and supporting other functions and/or projects tasked by the Security Operations Manager, or Security Area Manager. Additionally, the Security Risk Analyst will assist with the maintenance and improvement of procedures and contact records, and will also work within the GSOC's SharePoint environment to update or customize site information pages as needed, and will provide quality assurance during audits of existing procedures, will run and record crisis management exercises, and will act as trainers for new associates or new/updated procedures.

Shift work will be required, potentially to include nights, weekends and Public Holidays.

Key job responsibilities

* High school diploma, associate or college degree, or courses in Intelligence, International Relations/Law, IT, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Crisis Management, or related field.

* Experience providing crisis management triage

* Military/intelligence/law enforcement/geopolitical risk analysis experience

* Experience in an IT/Operations/Call/Command Center work environment

* Experience with Lenel or other alarm access control systems

* Experience monitoring alarms in a command center environment

* 1+ years of experience with MS Office Suite and programs to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, InfoPath, SharePoint, etc.

* Experience using multiple software applications simultaneously (software multi-tasking)

* Typing skills at 35 words per minute with high accuracy

* Experience working in fast paced environments.

Our crisis management team consists of Security Operations Manager and Security Risk Analyst. With their collective knowledge, skills, abilities, and professional experience, they protect life safety, ensure operational continuity, and preserve Amazon's brand. The GSOC uses technology, thoroughly-vetted procedures, and best practices that exceed industry standards. It doesn't matter if the event is catastrophic, affecting multiple sites, or something more routine, affecting just one driver, the GSOC can assist.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- High school or equivalent diploma

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, InfoPath, SharePoint, etc.

- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

- Experience providing crisis management triage

- Military/intelligence/law enforcement/geopolitical risk analysis experience

- Experience with Lenel or other alarm access control systems

- Experience monitoring alarms in a command center environment

- Experience using multiple software applications simultaneously (software multi-tasking)

- Experience in an IT/operations/call/command center work environment

- Typing skills at 35 words per minute with high accuracy

- Experience working in fast paced environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in resolving conflicts, providing crisis management triage, and setting appropriate expectations with customers

- Experience multitasking, including answering multiple phone lines, prioritize e-mail, instant message, and ticket related communication, and communicate clearly within a command center environment

- Proficiency in a second language other than English is preferred

- An interest in security, crisis management, or criminal justice

- High-level customer service skills as demonstrated by way of previous work history
