This National Guard position is for a SECURITY SPECIALIST (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5514000 and is part of the NC G2, National Guard (JFHQ-G2 / MD 142E-211).

The area of consideration for this position is CAT 2 (Area 1) and includes North Carolina T32/T5 CURRENT ON-BOARD. Applications will only be accepted from current Permanent and Excepted Indefinite (Title 5 Employees and Title 32) Technicians assigned to the "JFHQ-G2", North Carolina National Guard.
Duties
As a SECURITY SPECIALIST, GS-0080-9, you will implement policies and procedures required to manage sensitive compartmented information (SCI) programs and to protect SCI resources; implement policies and procedures for accomplishment of SCI protection and security; control all collateral and SCI classified information and material within the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) affecting the Unit's mission; implement the SCI security clearance program for all assigned personnel, ensuring all required clearances are up-to-date and completed; provide oversight of unit and SSO security self-inspections and presents detailed and comprehensive reports with corrective action taken to the unit intelligence commander/SIO.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07
OR
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Transcripts required)
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related. (Transcripts required)
OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. (Transcripts required)
