JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide support with security cameras, doors, alarms and audio/video equipment. Monitor software programs and systems to verify status of all cameras and door alarms used in day-to-day functions of the District.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide support via phone, email or in person for cameras, doors controls, alarms and A/V equipment.


2. Monitor systems daily for device outages or issues.


3. Maintain recordings on camera servers.


4. Input schedules for doors and alarms.


5. Add, remove and maintain access badge profiles.


6. Assist campuses with exit alarm maps and functions.


7. Print access cards and badges when required


8. Load camera and building views for users in the security servers.


9. Maintain updated firmware on cameras and door controls.


10. Manage inventory stock for required parts and equipment.


11. Review physical badge access to locations at least quarterly.


12. Maintain accurate updated records of preventative maintenance and time and materials required to perform repairs and service.


13. Communicate effectively and interpret policy or procedures.


14. Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures.


15. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, carrying, etc.


16. Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and immediately report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor.


17. Occasional use of personal vehicle.


18. Maintain confidentiality.


19. Other duties as assigned.


20. Regular attendance.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with Windows and Apple IOS


• Experience with working in a group or team environment

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification :

• High School diploma (or GED)
• Valid Texas driver's license

Special Knowledge/Skills :

• Basic knowledge of security systems/alarms, cameras, door controls (badge readers), audio/visual equipment, computer hardware and software applications
• Ability to diagnose problems

Mental Demands/ Physical Demands/Environmental Factors : Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional district travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. The following physical requirements and or capabilities are what an employee needs to possess in order to meet the physicaldemands of the job:

• Pushing (exerting force upon an object so the object moves away from the force)
• Bending (ability to move at the waist downward and upward with reasonable mobility)

An employee may be required to perform any or all of the above physical requirements. These physical requirements may constitute 95% of the employee's daily functions.
