Job Summary:

The Senior Account Administrator provides a commercial insurance department/unit with technical and administrative support while assisting with training and mentoring new associates, promoting teamwork and assisting with associate development.



Position responsibilitie

• Responsibilities of an Account Administrator including, but not limited to:

o Receive emails and calls from carriers/lenders/clients and Lockton associates as the first line of contact for client service

o Create, modify, and ensure accuracy of Client Profile Information

o Ensure accuracy and timeliness of Surplus Lines Filings and determination of what filings are needed

o Manage Fee Agreement Workflow, when needed

o Create and Maintain Client Claims Manual

o Manage Incoming Client/Carrier Correspondence and Review/Decide Appropriate Action

o Initiate, Guide Renewal Service Cycle and Ensure TimeLine is Met

o Gather and Review Renewal Information from Client

o Ensure proper filing of client/carrier correspondence within Document Management System

o May provide backup assistance for team during vacations or leaves of absence

o Manage Policy E-delivery to Client

o Review, file, and process all client specific new mail and determine if/what action is needed

o Ensure proper filing of client/carrier/internal correspondence, policy documents, etc. in document management system per CID guideline

o Track/Reconcile and ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing client premium, invoices, and work with appropriate internal specialist teams to correct accounting issues or to decide best approach for differing situation

• Provide advanced client contact during escalated circumstances.

• Work with other teams within Lockton, including but not limited to Center- IT, Center Accounting, IOS, etc. to pilot, review and/or create new workflows utilizing new or existing technology.

• Advocate and support best practices based on understanding of client/team needs.

• Guide, train, and encourage new AAs in Lockton processes, procedures and protocols and best practices.

• Be an advocate for new AAs and provide feedback to team leads and directors on progress of new AAs.

• Demonstrate Lockton culture with new associates.

• Review client claims and exposures prior to submitting to analytics.

• Review contractual requirements to ensure client program meets insurance certificate requests.

• Make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service to the customer

• Attend carrier functions as needed

• Train, mentor and be a resource for other associates. Motivate, instruct, and promote teamwork and associate development

• Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

Position qualification

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or work experience preferred

• General understanding of commercial property and casualty coverages required

• Must understand commercial rating concept

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required; PowerPoint desired.

• High aptitude for accuracy in mathematical calculation

• Strong attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking skills, and strong documentation skills required

• Must be approachable and have demonstrated leadership abilitie

• Must be able to work independently, efficiently, and effectively with limited supervision

• Proven ability to analyze work, identify problems (e.g., errors, inconsistencies), proactively take appropriate action, and follow through to ensure resolution

• Strong knowledge and mastery of Lockton's policies, procedures, and system

• Readiness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the insurance industry by successful completion of extended insurance education beyond continuing education requirements as needed

• Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time-sensitive deadlines. Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed.

• Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company information

• Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, project team members, and associates at all levels of responsibility, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner

• Ability to work outside of regular business hours as needed

• Legally able to work in the United States

This position may be eligible for annual discretionary bonus consideration.
