Job Summary:

Lockton Dunning Benefits is currently seeking a Senior Account Executive, who will proactively consult and manage complex and critical accounts, improve plan designs and strategically partner with internal and external client teams under the general guidance of the Team Lead.



ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively manage all aspects of accounts and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards and in accordance with timeframe requirement

• Build, expand, and solidify relationships with existing clients at executive levels within the company and leads appropriate resources to address the client's need

• Directly assist with management of a complex book of business for local and national clients that are comprised of various funding method

• Drive discussions around plan performance and design; monitor trends and make recommendations to improve effectiveness of employee program/design

• Identify and address client service issues; develop and implement processes and policies to improve overall client service

• Support the generation of new business by collaborating with Producers in prospect meetings, acting as the technical SME and leading the RFP process with the Team Lead

• Develop and lead processes including communications strategy, collateral materials, vendor implementation, and conducting open enrollment meeting

• Develop and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to clients regarding trends, financial performance and plan change

• Stay current on all relevant industry data and works with team lead to develop project plans, assemble teams for delivery on client projects, and ensure delivery against project goal

• Maintain knowledge of carrier/vendor products and services and effectively deliver appropriate carrier/TPA recommendations and product and service solutions to client

• Work with team lead in ensuring completion of reports and administrative actions for clients such as Form 5500 filings, policy checking and delivery, SPDs, etc.

• Ability to lead client meetings and provide “on the Spot” strategic guidance and financial performance information in conjunction with or independently form the team lead

• Manage and organize client tasks and open items relating to strategy and plan design

• Maintain an awareness of all large and potentially complicated claim related matters, assist with negotiations and resolution of claim settlement on behalf of client

• Develop and produce Request for Proposal (RFP) by coordinating vendor replies, developing an analysis from RFP responses and preparing client report with recommendation

• Execute client renewals by building relations with key client stakeholders and asking effective probing questions that lead to innovative benefit plan design

• Meet with clients in conjunction with team lead to review action items and communicate problems and/or vendor issue

• Partner with internal legal counsel to educate and advise clients on all compliance topics including, but not limited to, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA,5500s, and Health Care Reform

• Mentor and train team members with the end goal of providing the highest level of support by meeting or exceeding industry standard

Requirements:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Business related field and/or equivalent years of experience

• Minimum 6 years' experience in the insurance industry, specifically in employee welfare benefit

• Has required insurance licenses or able to become licensed

• Spearhead client relationships by delivering excellent customer service skill

• A strong working knowledge of welfare benefits in multiple product lines (i.e. medical, dental, life, AD&D, disability) and understanding of risk and insurance

• Ability to drive differing financial arrangements and products available to clients (i.e. fully insured, self-funded, minimum premium, ASO)

• Strong understanding of funding options and medical underwriting calculation

• Experience with Ancillary product

• Excellent Microsoft suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Ability to manipulate large spread sheets, census data, disruption, geo-access, benchmarking data, etc.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively

• Excellent organizational and communication skill

• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skill
