A client of Insight Global is looking for accountants to work remotely for a major healthcare system. There are both senior accountants and accountant openings available. These accountants will participate in month-end close process which will include preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure all financial transactions and data are recorded accurately in the general ledger. They will also provide support as needed to Finance and Operations on reimbursement related matters by preparing PSA (Patient Service Area) analysis of net revenue rate variances on a monthly basis. The accountant will assist in monthly closing process and year-end audit analytics for the Net Revenue & AR team. The senior accountant will assist in preparation of the model template that will be used in the annual budget process as well as prepare analysis and recommendations to ensure regulatory reviews are accurately completed. These accountants need to be detailed oriented, analytical, willing to learn and have great communication skills.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or other related fields.
- Finance/accounting background.
- Typically requires 5 years of experience in reimbursement that includes experiences in journal entries, preparation of analysis, modeling and reporting of third-party payers.
- Month end close experience- Booking journal entries.
- Strong accounting background with experience in preparing and/or reviewing health care financial statements.
- Proficient in Excel and experience managing large data sets.
- Reconciliation and analysis experience
- Cannot sit in CA, DC, CO, CT, HI, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT, or WA

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Healthcare experience
Experience working with Epic.
Experience using workday for general ledger.
Experience using one stream for financial statement views.
