The Senior Administrative Program Coordinator supports the faculty and staff members of the Tulane University Translational Science Institute to manage administrative and program aspects of Institute activities. Currently, this includes the Tulane COBRE for Clinical and Translational Research in Cardiometabolic Diseases, the institutional five-year TUTSI award, and several sponsored research and educational projects within the Institute.

This position oversees the daily administrative operations of the Tulane University Translational Science Institute, which include but are not limited to: hiring and training of staff; organizing and hosting the Institute's Grand Rounds and seminars; developing institute newsletters and annual report; maintaining and updating the Institute's website; scheduling, coordination and facilitation of internal and external advisory committee meetings; coordinating conference calls; supporting investigators' interviews and travel management; facilitating and implementing the ongoing research programs; and assistance in evaluation of research programs and the Institute.

• Proficient data entry and keyboarding skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel

• Strong communication, management, and analysis skills to enhance operations productivity and efficiency.

• Ability to demonstrate initiative and organize activities.

• Ability to prioritize and work with multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to work successfully and independently under budgetary and deadline requirements

• Ability to work as part of a professional team and to collaborate effectively with individuals within the University as well as with outside contractors.

• Interpersonal skills to work with faculty, staff, and students.

• Bachelor's Degree with 1 year of relevant experience

• High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 7 years of relevant experience
