Summary:
Independently designs, develops, and implements cost-effective information technology solutions for business related problems. Responsible for both front end applications and back-end databases. Follows the steps involved in the life cycle of software development. Supports transmission and processing of 837 Health Care Claim EDI files. Works with all company departments to solve difficult business problems. Provides analytical information from databases to support business needs. Acts as a project manager for large-scale assignments with minimal direction from management. Gathers, investigates and analyzes user requirements for business processes and/or technical systems. Develops and maintains necessary documentation of systems, projects and/or processes to ensure unified understanding of system details.

Formal Education Required:
a. Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field. Additional related experience may be substituted for up to two years of the educational requirement

Experience & Training Required:a. Minimum five (5) years experience including applications development, database support, and project management.
b. Minimum three (3) years experience with SQL Server database or similar relational database system.

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Experience with:

i. EDI transaction processing, preferably 837 Health Care Claims
ii. SQL Server TSQL
iii. C# Windows and Console application development
iv. Microsoft Access databases and applications
v. VBA (Visual Basic for Application)
vi. Website basics (HTML, PHP, IIS, SSL, etc.)
vii. PowerShell, VB Script, DOS Batch scripts
viii. SQL Server SSIS and SSRS
ix. Standard file formats (JSON, XML, etc.)
x. OpenText ECS (communications server and Delta (universal data translator)
b. Familiarity with medical claims and CMS/Medicare
c. Ability to independently solve technical problems utilizing internet based resources.
d. Excellent communication skills, both with technical and non-technical audiences.
e. Ability to work well within a team environment as well as independently.
f. Ability to independently set priorities in a dynamic environment with many competing requirements.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
