As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Alcon Labs in Fort Worth, Texas, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations and efficient development processes. Your responsibilities will include onsite collaboration from Monday to Thursday, working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and system administrators. Drawing on your extensive experience, you'll manage and optimize AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda. Your goal will be to enhance scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, you'll leverage Azure DevOps tools to streamline the software development lifecycle. This includes setting up CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, and ensuring smooth collaboration between development and operations teams. As part of the Research and Development organization, you'll contribute to cutting-edge projects, accelerating innovation, improving code quality, and enhancing overall efficiency. Your role bridges the gap between development and operations, ensuring that Alcon's digital health initiatives thrive.

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience as a technical professional, 5+ years of dedicated DevOps engineer experience
- Strong experience with AWS, Glue, Lambda, S3, EC2, Azure DevOps tool
- Proven working experience in a DevOps/SRE culture with observability & monitoring
- Must interface directly with Domino through APIs with python, using SageMaker for managing deployments
- Use statistical concepts such as regression, time series, mixed model, Bayesian methods, clustering, etc., to analyze data and provide insights when Data Science team needs additional support
- Researching new ways to improve the performance of machine learning models.
- Working with other teams in the company to develop and implement new AI-based systems.
- Identifying and solving problems with existing AI models.
- Hands-on Development and Support experience with cloud native technologies
- Extensive knowledge of Git Version Control with branching strategies
- Object Oriented Design, API Driven with adhere to Design patterns, Microservices & Event Driven Architectures
- Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Terraform experience
- Kubernetes experience
- Cloud/ DevOps Certifications
- Experience in regulated industry (Medical devices)
- Programming - Python or Java, Springboot or Micronaut Frameworks, CLI/SDK/CDK with multiple IDE's
- Experience combine big data and machine learning to automate IT operations processes, including event correlation, anomaly detection, and causality determination
