Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

Description

Responsibilities:

• Design Cloud-based system architectures that include Azure Cloud technologies and services, software, hardware, and communications solutions to support the total requirements, as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
• Ensure architectures are in compliance with open systems standards as they apply to the client's environment.
• Evaluate compatibility of information system development efforts with agency architectures and recommends adjustments, as appropriate
• Evaluates problems of Cloud connectivity, Cloud platform architecture, workflow, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action

Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• Strong experience in one or more architecture domains (e.g. business architecture, solutions architecture, application architecture)
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
• Experience working in the public cloud.
• Proven background working in cloud environments with experience and knowledge in the following areas:
• Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
• Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Artifactory)
• CSPs including Azure, AWS, or OCI
• Containerization and container management with Kubernetes and Helm
• Security automation with tools such as Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST)
• Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
• Git, branching strategies, GitFlow and/or GitHub Flow
• Cloud high availability and scalability best practices and architectures
• Ability to meet with customers to gather and understand business requirements
• Ability to quickly adapt to new situations and changing priorities
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be punctual, reliable, and accountable for themselves, with ability to follow through with tasks to completion

Qualifications

Desired Education & Experience:

• 8+ years of progressive experience engineering and architecting public cloud environments
• AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or higher certification
• Experience working in an agile environment preferred

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
