Baer is looking for Senior Backend Developer for a 3-month Federal Remote Project.

Title: Senior Backend Developer
Location: Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration: 3 month
Rate: All-inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C (Vendors Not Permitted)

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical development lead for the Kafka application, providing expert guidance to the client team.
• Develop scalable and efficient backend solutions within the Kafka application.
• Collaborate with both functional and technical teams to understand requirements and ensure seamless integration with front-end components.
• Utilize Agile Development Lifecycle best practices, conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to development coding standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers.
• Implement and maintain robust and secure backend systems, leveraging best practices in software development.
• Optimize backend performance and ensure high availability and scalability of applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the Kafka application.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate best practices into development processes.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of Structured Query Language (SQL) experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Java.
• 5+ years of Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience.
• 5+ years of Apache Kafka experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Public Trust Security Clearance is the lowest level of additional background screening that the federal government requires for applicants of certain jobs, which includes completing a Standard Form 85 (SF85) form.
