Join a team whose mission is to maximize the effectiveness of Amazon employees! The Amazon Stores Learning & Development Team (ASLD) is responsible for enabling Worldwide Amazon Stores employees to run the business and continue to delight customers.
As a business analyst for the team, you will be responsible for measuring the success of our programs which teach functional skills, negotiations and product development, and leadership to thousands of Stores employees worldwide. This is a unique opportunity to focus on insights, strategy, and automation in measurement of learning and skill retention. You will lead our engagement with central data teams and will deliver reporting and analysis that runs critical training programming for the business.
Your work will have visibility with senior leadership and will be influential in evaluating the effectiveness of our programming, including using machine learning to drive new insights. You will partner with program and product owners to ensure that new training is designed with measurable impact from the beginning. You will build customer-facing dashboards that drive engagement with ASLD products. You will also work with partner teams, understand their best practices, find useful data sources, and scope and conduct your own analysis.
This job requires a strong sense of ownership, a desire to dive deep, and ability to deal with ambiguity.
Key job responsibilities
• Work closely with business and learning teams across the globe, building on your strong analytical skills to support multiple teams with regular production of metrics and analysis.
• Use your skills in analysis and data visualization to provide actionable insights for our teams, and create tools that can inform and engage leaders and people managers using these insights.
• Prepare data sets and analysis to be leveraged in business facing mechanisms.
• Identify areas of opportunity to automate and scale ad-hoc analyses.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of business or financial analysis, product costing, procurement, or a quantitative role experience
- 3+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with QuickSight dashboard and visual creation
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
