As part of Red Bull's category management strategy within our Operations business unit, the Senior Buyer will lead all aspects of assigned categories, Marketing & Media. This includes the development of category strategies, supplier relationship management, and alignment with internal stakeholders which take into account the goals and requirements of the business. The Senior Buyer will lead negotiations and provide support to the business to achieve the ideal balance of quality and cost. Utilizing structured sourcing processes, you will drive sourcing evaluations and seek creative opportunities for strategic partnerships that enable growth and seamless business continuity. You will provide technical direction, advice, and counsel on a wide array of procurement processes and issues. The Senior Buyer is a key connector and collaborator between departments, who ensures that decisions made have a balanced business impact.

  • PROCUREMENT STRATEGY & SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT


    Support the Procurement strategy to reduce costs and drive efficiencies through optimization of sourcing processes, designs, materials and services.

    Drive cost savings initiatives and assist in the identification and execution of strategies.

    Execute high-level supplier strategies to leverage and optimize relationships.

    Source new suppliers and manage existing supplier base.

    Conduct root cause analysis for supplier performance issues, drive corrective actions and issue resolution.

    Provide reports to monitor spend, identify trends and opportunities, and aid in supplier performance activities.

    Manage all areas of supplier performance (setting expectations, issue resolution, development, continuous improvement, KPI measurement).

    Manage the complete contract lifecycle from negotiation through execution.

    Manage assigned categories and projects to ensure execution on time and within the budget.


  • CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHIPS


    Align with Red Bull HQ as required or where potential opportunities exist.

    Engage key departments of spend and drive opportunities for value.

    Provide first line of communication with assigned suppliers and internal stakeholders.

    Work with the Risk Management Team to reduce risks associated with materials and services.


  • SUPPLY CHAIN OPTIMIZATION


    Support supply chain practices that reduce total supply chain costs, optimize pack-outs and inventory, reduce lead times and maximize customer service levels.




EXPERIENCE


Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or other related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement with experience in negotiation & supplier relationship management
  • CPM/CPSM and/or Six Sigma certifications
  • Functional understanding, awareness, and application of Negotiations, RFX, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Contracts, and Supplier Management principles
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies with suppliers, including on-going negotiations, pricing, key supply chain metrics improvement, and day-to-day support of efficient supply chain operations
  • Strong analytical and research skills to evaluate complex procurement data
  • Understanding of problem-solving and knowledge of root cause analysis tools
  • Proven conflict resolution, negotiation, and influence skills with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Vital systems acumen (SAP/Oracle, Business Intelligence, Microsoft Suite [Excel, PowerPoint], etc.)
  • Exceptional time management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Superior customer service and adaptability to changing requirements
