This Senior Buyer will be joining the procurement team for a large international shipbuilding company. This role will be supporting a recent program won by this company. The role requires negotiations , understanding compliance, and CPSR. Documents will need to be saved and brought along the RFQ and RFP stages of the procurement process. Strategic buying and communication with vendors will be crucial.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of procurement experience is required - NOT in production control

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Must have knowledge of strategic buying and advanced purchasing

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Background in Department of Defense procurement

BAAN or Mapex software knowledge
