Primary Function:

The Senior Client Specialist provides professional and operational support to commercial lines clients and OHA associates with a focus on excellent customer service, teamwork and career development.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Service
  • Respond to calls, emails and questions from OHA associates, clients and carriers in a timely manner (typically within 24 hours). Determine the issue and work diligently to answer their question or concern, and provide a timeline for resolution
  • Investigate and resolve issues in a timely and thorough manner seeking help from OHA associates, carriers and other resources as needed
  • Document all communication and activity accurately and timely per Overmyer Hall Associates procedures
Insurance Policies & Renewals
  • Accurately review and compare carrier quote worksheets, terms and conditions
  • Coordinate policy expirations with OHA associates to obtain and process renewal information
  • Create new and renewal certificates of insurance templates in CSR24, ensuring accuracy of policy detail and attachments
  • Process complex certificates of insurance and contract reviews as directed by Client Manager
  • Process policies, cancellations, audits and endorsements timely and accurately
  • With Client Manager or Client Executive direction, prepare and update renewal proposals and summaries
  • Complete policy application details for newly bound policies into Epic, at Client Manager direction
  • Quote, bind and issue flood policies and assist with flood renewals
Billing
  • Responsible for agency billing including:
  • creating premium allocations, renewal
  • Follow up on cancellations and billing issues including communicating with client and carrier
Career Development
  • Attend and participate in carrier and client meetings
  • Participate in Applied user group online forums and education for latest trends in Epic and CSR24
  • Pursue and maintain professional insurance designations as recommended by Overmyer Hall Associates

Work Experience & Qualifications:
  • 2-3 Years of Commercial Insurance experience required
  • Ohio Property and Casualty license required
  • Professional designation a plus
  • College degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance and products
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Existing knowledge of Applied Epic, or ability to develop it
  • Proficient at navigating multiple carrier websites and online rating platforms
  • Strong understanding and comfort using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet based tools
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Pleasant and professional communication style
  • Strong decision making, judgment and problem-solving skills
  • A high sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

Department Account Management & Service

Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Negligible

Required Education: High school or equivalent
