A client of Insight Global is looking for a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join their team in the Kansas City, Missouri area. This individual will have responsibility and oversight of testing for mechanical systems in various industries including manufacturing, healthcare, biotech, and pharma. Responsibilities include testing of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and heavy manufacturing systems. The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for maintaining multiple commissioning projects, ranging from 3-10 projects at a time, both new construction and renovation, occasionally running focal point on projects by leading the commissioning process, interfacing with clients, overseeing subcontractors, schedule coordination, quality, and deliverables. The Commissioning Engineer will also be responsible for oversight of design reviews and needs prior knowledge of building codes as well as site safety procedures. This individual will be collaborating with a team of 3-5 individuals, varying from project to project, and will also be interfacing with maintenance and contractor personnel in the field. This individual will be required to travel up to 30% and must work onsite 5 days/week. Travel will vary due to project work and clients, with a majority being local to the KC area.

Required Skills & Experience

Prior commissioning and testing of electro-mechanical building systems including plumbing, HVAC, and heavy manufacturing
Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering (ABET)
Prior experience writing their own test scripts

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Commissioning certifications: CxA, CCP, BCxP, NEBB, NETA, or QCxP
Prior lead experience in a commissioning/testing environment
Professional Engineering (PE) License
Ability to obtain clearance
Prior use of temperature loggers or flow meters
Familiarity with energy modeling
Commissioning/testing in a clean room environment
