The Senior Account Executive provides strategic and tactical consulting and account management support on an assigned book of business made up of Lockton’s most complex and high-revenue clients.
Position responsibilitie
• Serve as the primary technical and strategic advisor to clients.
• Interface effectively and confidently with senior management and C-suite of clients and/or prospects, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner.
• Client book is complex with the majority of clients self-funded; tenured experience with unbundled plans, in-depth knowledge of TPA’s, PBM’s, stop loss carriers.
• Develop short and long-term strategic planning guidance, ability to review financial reporting with client, in-depth knowledge of InfoLock and utilization of point solutions where appropriate.
• Oversee renewal and marketing efforts and take a lead role in carrier selection and/or financial negotiations.
• Handle complex underwriting and funding issues and strategies.
• Review drafts of all employee communication pieces for accuracy and completeness before release to client.
• Review and sign-off on all agreements and/or documents.
• Oversee account team as it relates to client deliverables.
• Review the monthly commission report to ensure accuracy. Follow up with vendors and client on missed revenue, as applicable.
• Develop mutually beneficial relationships with insurance carriers and administrators to generate optimal results for clients (competitive costs, competitive renewals, expedient problem resolution, etc.).
• Assist with special projects and/or, participate in committees within MWS or in support of national initiatives.
• Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of insurance coverages, new products and the marketplace in general.
• Prepare written correspondence, reports, and analyses as needed.
• Make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service to the customer.
• Comply with Lockton procedures and policies; make decisions in compliance with established standards of quality, performance, and service.
• Understand when to proceed alone and when to involve the Producer or others.
• Comply with Lockton procedures and policies.
Requirements:
Position qualification
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or years of equivalent experience
• Typically, 10+ years of Client services experience in the employee benefits industry is required
• Minimum of 7 years working knowledge of group benefits in multiple product lines
• At least five years of advanced Account Executive level experience
• Working knowledge of different financial arrangements and products available to client
• Strong knowledge of InfoLock, underwriting, financial arrangements and funding approache
• Ability to prepare and present client presentations with clarity and understanding
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
• Knowledge of industry trends and governmental regulation
• Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed
• Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training session
• Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information
• Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadline
• Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
• Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, calculator, photocopier, and facsimile machine
• Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
• Legally able to work in the United State
