In the role of Senior Control Systems Specialist/Engineer, we'll count on you to:

  • Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
  • Independently coordinate the work of the control systems design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project, and assist with capturing additional control systems design and systems integration work
  • Lead the assessment and planning of control systems improvements.
  • Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete the documents on schedule
  • Lead the development of preliminary engineering reports and Studies focused on recommending and developing solutions for facility and process control systems.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record in responsible charge for the development of biddable and technically accurate I&C construction documents.
  • Conduct systems integration of the I&C system
  • Write and edit I&C specifications and select equipment and monitoring/control devices.
  • Participate in joint scoping and proposal development working with clients and marketing staff.
  • Participate in the planning and specification of applied technology solutions including instrumentation and control, advanced automation and control, artificial intelligence, Operational Technology (OT) networking, data management & analytics.
  • Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
  • Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
  • Provide construction contract administration as needed
  • Conduct QA/QC on the work of other I&C Project Engineers, I&C Project Coordinators or I&C Technicians as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS or Masters in related Engineering discipline
  • EIT/PE Preferred
  • Hands on experience designing BMS and I&C systems,
  • Must be knowledgeable of cybersecurity considerations for Industrial Control or SCADA or OT systems
  • Must be knowledgeable of network, PLC, DCS, or DDC hardware/software, and SCADA/HMI software used in Building, Industrial, or Water/Wastewater applications
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) / Distributed Control System (DCS) / Direct Digital Control (DDC) programming or SCADA HMI configuration experience a plus
  • Experience in building automation, data centers, industrial manufacturing,
  • Candidates who reside locally are preferred.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported
  • Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supported
  • Extensive knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported
  • Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
