Insight Global is seeking a Controls Engineer for a client in the New Haven County. This group supports a company in discovering new technologies and improving devices used in the field. This role is to support additional projects located at this site. This person will be responsible for code development and testing for solutions in the field. He/She should be able to design and develop software for PLC and PC-based systems. This person should also be familiar with Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications. This group mainly works on the database of PostgreSQL and uses C# and .NET as their main programming languages. This candidate should be able to work within a team and individually on projects.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience with industrial automation which include PLCs.
Strong experience programming in both C# and .NET.
Previous work experience in the manufacturing space.
Strong understanding of PostgreSQL or MS SQL as a database.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Prior experience programming in robotics
Previously working in the gas industry or with Thermodynamics
Experience with Git
