About the Role:

In your role as a Senior Cross Border Consultant at Lockton Global Benefits, your primary responsibility will be to provide strategic consulting guidance and services to multinational corporations regarding their Cross Border benefit strategy (expatriate medical, dental, Life/AD&D, LTD and Global Business Travel Medical). This includes supporting day to day service, renewal negotiating, RFPs, carrier management, project work and new business growth support for our most strategic clients and prospects.

As a key member of our global benefits team, you will have the authority to develop and deliver solutions that are tailored to our clients' needs, thereby directly contributing to the growth and future direction of Lockton's Global Benefits practice. This is your opportunity to help shape our course and influence our investments in different areas.

In your capacity as a senior client leader, you will take charge of managing clients and service teams while leading our Cross Border Benefit growth strategy. You'll work closely with client headquarters, local country client contacts, and other Lockton leadership, Producers, US consultants and other specialty practice areas. Your role will involve being the subject matter expert and point of contact for our Lockton associates’ clients and prospects for clients that have 50+ expatriate employees enrolled on their plan.

Client Responsibilities:



  • Manage day-to-day consulting activities for a defined book of business of Cross Border Client, which includes day to day service, renewal management, strategic consulting, RFP work and carrier management.
  • Work with the client team to develop project plans and budgets, this may require engaging with other Lockton Cross Border Consultants across the globe (UK, MENA, APAC).
  • Engage and support Lockton Cross Border growth by working closely with US domestic consulting team or Lockton Producers on new business opportunities.
  • Make analytical projects and conclusions/recommendations for work conducted.
  • Serve as primary, daily contact to your assigned clients and attend client meetings as may be required.
  • Support/ lead as may be appropriate special projects, benefit plan strategy and design, plan management and governance strategy.
  • Cultivate image as a professional, trustworthy consultant internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels.




Team Responsibilities:



  • The right candidate will be a subject matter within the Cross Border Benefit (expatriate) industry.
  • Will be the go-to point of contact for Lockton Associates, Clients, and Prospects for a defined group size within the Cross Border Benefits space (50+ enrolled employees)
  • Technology is critical to our client service model. As the Cross Border Sr. Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring our client service for maintaining accurate benefit information and account financial information with SalesForce.com.


Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience working in Cross Border Benefits (Expatriate) Consulting, preferable experience both on the broker/consulting side and the insurance carrier side.
  • Proven experience managing multiple clients, timeframes, and deliverables.
  • Strong client relationship, interpersonal and team skills.
  • A professional presence with polished, well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to assess varied situations and to develop the correct path forward, with confidence.
  • Ability to actively listen for client concerns and objectives, and to understand them.
  • Ability to understand complex issues and know how to resolve concerns, including when to escalate issues for resolution.
  • Strong analytical and creative skills.
  • Licensed Health and Life in resident state not required but preferred.
  • The desire to be part of a growth team and interest in shaping the future for the Cros Border Benefits Practice.
  • Availability to travel when needed.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
  • Legally able to work in the United States.
