Job Title: Senior Database Administrator (DBA)

Location: Frisco, TX (100% Remote)

Salary Range: $110,000 - $135,000 base salary (No Bonus)

Role Overview: As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our multi-database environment, including MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres, NoSQL, and MongoDB. Your role will focus on consolidating databases to create efficiencies, overseeing migrations, modeling, performance monitoring, and implementing automation. You will refine DBA processes, develop robust Recovery and Failover procedures, and architect solutions to support our growth and new product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Management: Oversee and maintain a complex multi-database environment, including MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres, NoSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Migration & Consolidation: Lead efforts to consolidate and migrate databases to enhance efficiency and streamline operations.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Database Modeling: Design and implement database models that align with business needs and support modular architecture.
  • Automation: Develop and implement automation processes to improve database management and efficiency.
  • Recovery & Failover Procedures: Create and refine recovery and failover procedures to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity during outages.
  • Architectural Support: Contribute to database architecture strategies to support the development of new product packages and client options.

Top Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field of study.
  • Experience: 7-10+ years of relevant experience in database management, including maintenance and performance monitoring.
  • Database Technologies: Proficient in MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres, NoSQL, and MongoDB with a strong background in migration and consolidation.
  • Database Engineering: Skilled in database builds, modular redesigns, and implementing Recovery and Failover procedures.

Desirable Skills:
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and/or AWS is a plus.
