Job Description:
  • PURPOSE OF JOB : Under the guidance of the Director of Finance, oversees Decision Support Information System, performs financial and statistical data analyses; assists in preparation of the operating and capital budget for Doylestown Health Physicians and Health System Ambulatory Services; provides meaningful reporting of performance trends..
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
  • Responsible for providing Doylestown Health Physicians with a comprehensive range of decision support information and services, with an emphasis on managing system administration, technical support and the ongoing implementation of Decision Support strategic initiatives.
  • Performs activities related to statistical data analysis, trending, data presentation and benchmarking in order to provide decision support. Works closely with key stakeholders of the organization to identify reporting and analysis needs. Provides guidance regarding report design, data visualization and interpretation of statistical results. Presents analysis results to stakeholders through documents and presentaitons
  • Coordinates budget data collection for all departments; assists with other related entities; supports preparation of summary presentations for senior leadership and board of directors.
  • Conducts routine and ad-hoc financial and statistical data analytics functions to enhance strategic planning, decision support, development of new programs, and evaluation of existing programs.
  • Supports monthly and annual fiscal close, reporting on utilization, payer mix and net revenue estimates.
  • Carries out responsibilities with an adherence to professional standards, a commitment to performance improvement, and an interest in professional growth and development.
Job Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business related field required. Skills and knowledge typically acquired through the completion of such a degree or certification program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years finance/accounting or auditing experience, mainly in not-for-profit or healthcare finance. Practiced in financial and statistical reporting, working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), healthcare industry standards and internal controls. Demonstrated proficiency with automated financial systems, reporting tools and general ledger applications.
  • Certificate/License: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) helpful
  • Other Skills: Strong Analytic and Problem solving abilities

Ability to coordinate priorities and work collaboratively as a resource for the team

Excellent personal computer skills (e.g. MS Office)
