Responsibilities

Responsible for short- and long-term demand planning and forecasting. Ensure promotional quantities are sufficient to support advertised demand. Ensure efficient inventory flow to stores to maximize service levels and corporate performance goals. Drive mutual brand awareness and increase sales, margin, and GMROI through collaboration with Key Vendor partners.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, DC store transfers and allocations on a timely basis to adhere to defined inventory management practices and performance objectives
  • Ensures that replenishment/allocation systems are properly set up and managed to drive accurate purchase orders, manage inventory and provide logistical efficiencies
  • Identify vendor performance metrics for improvement. Drive solutions with merchandising team and vendors to improve lead times, fill rates, and resolve stock-outs
  • Communicate with stores regarding stock issues, customer requests including rain checks, special orders, and analyst problem log
  • Partner with Buyer, Manager, Planner and/or vendor to drive and execute key business decisions impacting assigned categories such as: product flow and exit strategies; receipt management and allocation; calendar and timeline compliance regarding new stores, remodel stores and category transitions; pre/in season buy plan management and item level forecasting
  • Manage assigned categories to achieve demand and in stock goals as defined by company standards
  • Serve as a strategic partner to present trends, information, and recommendations to cross functional teams, senior leaders, and vendor partners
  • Proactively lead and establish best practices and broader initiatives within the Demand Planning team, participate in group/special projects, and mentor other team members
  • Attend product knowledge seminars as assigned
  • Attend Grand Opening events and assist as appropriate

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 year's experience of supply chain, planning, or related experience, in the retail environment is preferred
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with analyzing large data sets to deliver clear, actionable insights
  • Read and speak English and communicate with customers and co-workers
