Our Senior Design Engineer, C&S, will work with internal and external teams to develop advanced cleaning and sterilization processes within the Robotic and Digital solutions, (RAD), group, and plays a key role on the C&S team within R&D.

What You'll Do:

  • Define, design, develop, implement, and integrate key processes of complex medical devices within the RAD group.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers, partners, and consultants to effectively communicate and deliver novel processes for each medical device.
  • Assist the process team as needed with soiling, cleaning, and extraction process development.


Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Or related science/engineering field.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4+ years of engineering or relevant work experience.
  • Strong engineering principles and analysis skills to resolve technical challenges.
  • Excellent collaboration and teaming skills
  • Ability to partner with internal and external resources to help ensure completion of launch deliverables.
  • Have a strong understanding of design control; design verification and validation.
  • Ability to create required documentation, (test protocols, reports, etc...), create and speak to slides for presentations.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical, pharmaceutical, etc.)
  • Experience with troubleshooting, root cause, rework, and component modifications for the purpose of problem solving and engineering investigation.
  • Demonstrated compliance to established lab safety protocols and other environmental health and safety factors.


Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestic US and Internationally, with overnight stay.
  • Ability to work near Cincinnati, OH.


Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Comfortable with & experienced in one or more phases of product development lifecycle including design, implementation, debug, verification & validation, qualification, and transfer to manufacturing.
  • Experience working within design constraints and concurrently with requirements development.
  • Experience working with multi-functional team members (e.g., quality engineers, manufacturing development engineers, external manufacturing, etc.)
  • Experience in med device.


Work Environment:

  • This position operates in a laboratory/assembly environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.


Physical Demands:

  • May require lifting of up to 50 lbs. and operation of hoisting equipment for heavier loads.
  • May require prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, and kneeling during system assembly.


The anticipated base salary range for this position in the Cincinnati, OH area is $88,000 to 141,450.
