Description
SAIC is seeking a proven Senior DevSecOps Engineer (Cloud) to join the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) Cloud Enterprise Technology Services (CETS) program and the opportunity to evaluate and potentially re-invent how the Army delivers IT services and make use of data and analytics to meet mission requirements. The CETS program provides Information Technology services and technical subject matter expertise (SME) for the Army ECMA to support overall strategy and migration to the cARMY environment up to Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level (IL) 6. This position is your opportunity to utilize your skills and background as a Senior DevSecOps Engineer (Cloud) and deliver support to the warfighting mission with cutting edge cloud application migration and business process refinement for the US Army.
This position is contingent upon contract award which is expected February 2025.
Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based environment to enable development teams to deliver features in the most efficient way possible. Maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/ integration infrastructure. Provide Source Control Management/Documentation, create and maintain fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments; write, build and deploy scripts. Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance. Support full automation of CI/ testing. Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and for work of developers. Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production. Work closely with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms. Provide guidance and apply agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and reliable operations of product. Continuously identify opportunities to automate and save time. Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Recommends/makes decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.
PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under consultative direction toward pre-determined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.Work checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review of supervisor. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
IMPACT: Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically results in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives and affect image of organization's technological capability.
LIASON: Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BS degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics
- Fifteen years' experience in designing and implementing information management systems may substitute for academic degree
- 10 years experience designing and implementing information management systems
- 3 years, within the past 5 years of experience in technical research and development that enables continuing innovation within the infrastructure
- 3 years, within the past 5 years of demonstrated experience in product development, to include direct control and responsibility over subordinate developers working the development of a web-based as well as data intensive system
- 3 years, within the past 5 years of experience with provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in DevOps and/or continuous delivery environment using automated deployment and testing frameworks
- 3 years, within the past 5 years of experience with commercial CSPs (AWS or Microsoft Azure), containers, server-less architecture, micro-services, web services, and RESTful API design
- Must have a Secret clearance
- Must have a CISSP or CCSP certification
