Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in product management in enterprise infrastructure systems (e.g., compute, networking, storage)
  • Experience building and leading product management teams
  • Experience leading teams in data center infrastructure and cloud computing


Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering
  • Comprehensive understanding of storage, databases and analytics systems, compute and networking, including the ability to be a credible product advisor to the Storage team
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong organization, critical thinking, and prioritization skills along with a sense of urgency and a passion for challenging the status quo in the spirit of innovation


About the job

As a Senior Director of Product Management, you will drive our cloud and storage infrastructure and solutions. You will be responsible for providing product vision, driving strategy around cloud solutions, and successfully executing across numerous cloud, proprietary, and open source technologies to solve complex problems for our customers. You will be also be responsible for coordinating with the Go-To-Market functions to drive customer acquisition, business growth, and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will collaborate with engineering organizations to build cloud platforms and storage infrastructure at enterprise-scale.

The Storage team is a critical part of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as well as Google Infrastructure. It is responsible for providing the core Storage products in Google Cloud like Cloud Storage, File Solutions, Backup and Disaster Recovery, Storage Management, and Data Transfer Solutions. This team is also responsible for the Storage infrastructure that is the foundation for all of Google including products like Google Search, Ads, YouTube, Photos, Workspace, etc.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $298,000-$428,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop new ideas and evaluate industry trends to determine long-term investments in Storage that Google should make to address critical customer pain points and create new value.
  • Collaborate with engineering to drive the long-term Google Cloud Storage roadmap and ensure its timely execution. Develop deep workload understanding to create a market leading portfolio, and influence Google Cloud's Infrastructure Storage spend.
  • Work with partners in Data Analytics (Big Query), AI/ML teams, Content Delivery, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and other external partner teams to establish Google Cloud Storage as the leading platform to drive these workloads.
  • Build collaborations with our Go-To-Market functions including sales, marketing, and solution development.
  • Work closely with Storage General Managers and engineering partners to understand the levers to drive the Storage Profit and Loss (P&L).
