Senior Electrical Engineer (Energy Storage and Power Systems)

Position Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing and testing electrical circuits to support new product developments and enhance existing products in the energy storage product portfolio.

Responsibilities:

- Review and take ownership of customer technical requirements.

- Develop an electrical architecture to satisfy technical requirements within budget, cost, and schedule constraints.

- Design and analyse new circuits or variants, including schematic design of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for Power Supplies, Battery Chargers, and Battery Management Circuits.

- Actively participate in product qualification per customer requirements and industry standards (DO-160, MIL_STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461).

- Generate sub-assembly and top-assembly acceptance test procedures (ATP).

- Resolve technical problems with existing products and new designs.

- Perform prototype and qualification unit testing activities.

- Contribute to software development, verification, testing, and documentation (DO-178 is a plus).

- Use simulation software such as MATLAB or PSPICE to simulate design concepts.

- Generate engineering documents such as Test Plans and Test Reports.

- Support integration and system testing of hardware and software.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE required), Master's degree (MSEE preferred).

- 7-10 years of experience in electrical design, particularly of printed circuit boards.

- Expert knowledge of analogue and digital circuits.

- Familiarity with PWM control for AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion.

- Proficiency with lab equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, DAQ) for testing and troubleshooting.

- Ability to read and interpret schematics.

- Understanding of C/C++ and assembly code for embedded systems is a plus.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

- Follows engineering design processes and can recommend process improvements.
