The successful candidate will develop and maintain manufacturing processes and requirements for Rockford Engine Systems within the Mechanical Power Conversion group while working with diverse cross functional teams.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing process requirements for Rockford Engine Systems assembly, test, paint, and inspection processes.
  • Define and Design tooling, fixtures, and programming used in the manufacturing process.
  • Identify and implement advanced manufacturing solutions through automation and improved processes, tools, and technology for pump, gearbox, and starter production.
  • Collaborate with Design and Operations to implement automation and advanced manufacturing processes on new program wins.
  • Develop concepts and requirements for new equipment, research potential suppliers or integrators.
  • Communicate project status and activities through reports, presentations, and reviews with senior leadership.
  • Utilize Lean tools and support ACE operating system.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelors degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • US Citizen is required


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology is preferred
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • Project Management experience is preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Automation & Robotics experience is preferred
  • Mechatronics is preferred
  • Statistical Process Control is preferred
