Positions in this function are responsible for end-to-end business process activities - creating, controlling and improving business processes. Lead support design and project implementation teams in process improvement activities. Diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions using principles of process excellence and related tools. This position is also responsible for supporting quality analysts with questions and appeals from our Operational business partners. Developing plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement using applicable tools.

This position is full-time (40-hours/week). Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

We offer 4-6 weeks of on-the-job training (Combination of classroom and on-the-job training). The hours during training will be an 8-hour shift between 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of quality assurance
  • Provide support by reviewing appeals which may include feedback on root cause and or any identified defects within the process
  • Analyze and identify trends to build recommendations and provide feedback to reduce rework and defects to improve benefit installation processes and performance
  • Create, maintain and track work in relation to performance
  • Conduct focus reviews and provide feedback to reduce defects and improve processes and performance as needed
  • Extended periods of sitting at a computer and use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse
  • Support external audits as required
  • Back up Team Members when on PTO
  • Flexible schedule available as - 4/10s, 5/8 based on business needs schedule may need to be modified during Q4

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent years of work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years complex TOPS benefit installation and/or benefit installation experience
  • 4+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems
  • 2+ years of enrollment experience
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (create spreadsheets, v-lookups, pivot tables)
  • Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Axis
  • Benefit Installation Audit experience preferred
  • Understanding of benefits and how they apply to claims processing and/or member written materials

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
